Department: Chassis Technology Center

Objective: To solve brake matching problems, effectively reduce the incidence of quality problems of braking system; Train engineers to be braking specialists

Responsibilities:

1.      Responsible for brake performance matches (noise; braking distance, friction disk matches etc.)

2.      Responsible for bringing braking system matching parameters in accordance with the development objectives (such as cylinder diameter, brake radius, coefficient of friction)

3.      Responsible for new technology research, matching technology research and of braking system, and establishment of matching procedures and specifications (development of braking system and components, matching procedures and specifications, have a certain degree of understanding about forefront technology of braking system)

4.      Responsible for taking the lead to analyze causes and solve the systemic problems in this field  (brake shake, bumpy road abnormal sound, brake noise, abnormal wear etc)

5.      Braking regulations tracking and adaptability analysis

6.      Guide technical personnel for a fast lifting of their expertise

7.      Responsible for formulation and optimization of test validation specifications braking system

8.      Responsible for settlement of chassis comprehensive issues which are related to braking system

Qualifications:

1.      Education: College degree or above

2.      Professional: Vehicle Engineering, Mechanical Design etc related professionals

3.      Experience: More than 10 years working experience in automobile brake technology, with strong organization and coordination abilities, over 40 years old

4.      Skills Requirements:

A.     Necessary Capacity: personnel training, problem solving and improvement,  teamwork and communication skills, resource management ability,

B.     Post Skills:

1)        Able to handle the coordination relationship between brake system design and other systems, able to independently solve unexpected technical problems on-site

2)        With a solid theoretical basis and practical experience of automobile brake system design, matching and component manufacturing, with analysis and rectification abilities of on-site technical quality problems 

3)        Able to assist quality department for analysis and rectification on post-sales issues, provide technical quality support to suppliers, able to review and verify suppliers’ corrective action and continuous improvement schemes

C.     Tool Skills:

1)        CAD: proficient to use CAD, skilled to draw small two-dimensional tooling drawings, proficient to use CATIA V5 (or UG) and AutoCAD 2006

2)        Geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD & T): understanding of geometric dimension and tolerances, and its application in process design

3)        Potential failure mode and effect analysis (PFMEA): familiar with failure modes and

failure mechanism of product manufacturing process, able to propose appropriate prevention plans
